Yesterday was my first time teaching the 3-5 years old Sunday School class. I was teaching the upper primary class previously. It really wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. My greatest worry at first was that I wouldn't know how to talk at their level. In fact, I had so much fun being with them!

The first question they asked me when I started the class was "is there any colouring for us today?" They participated in everything that was planned for them wholeheartedly. When colouring came, they were so happy and that itself could keep them occupied for almost half and hour. The horses had multi-colours, we called it a rainbow horse. Grass to them was not green. Whatever colours they liked, that was the grass of their world. Towards the end of the lesson, there was supposed to be a closing prayer. This girl volunteered to do it. Of course I was more than willing to allow her to do it. Her prayer was so short and simple, yet it was something that was from her heart, praising Jesus with the little words she knew -- the best that she could give.

Not only did I leave that place teaching them something, but they have also taught me valuable life lessons. I want to be like them, where simple things in life, such as colouring is all that is needed to make me happy. I want to paint my world with my imagination, removing all the dark shades. I want to be that like that little girl, to praise Jesus with the best I can give.

I'm satisified with the small lessons in life.
