Had our very first youth run YF today. We fought for this day. It was exchanged after lots of tears, conferencing, prayers etc. Those of us who had fought together, you know what I mean. This first step of independence certainly means more good things to come. (I am making it sound so much like Lee Kwan Yew fighting for Singapore's independence...)

To start off, I was already very impressed at how the youths were so quick to volunteer themselves to do the different segments of YF, such as ice-breakers, praise and worship, basically anything that needed preparation. Today, without giving any reminders, they got the slides ready for worship and were preparing the songs with the guitar even before actual YF started.

During the YF, we started laying hands to pray for fellow members, broke into smaller groups to pray and everyone were feeling so comfortable with each other that they readily shared their testimonies. I just cannot express the joy witnessing all that. All these happened for the first time in 7 years.

Things are indeed different when the youths start to take ownership of the cell group. I know I have achieved so much more than in any other YF meetings I have ever attended in years. Praise God.
