We were doing group work during the tutorial when my tutor called me and asked if she could have a word with me. I thought what I have done for me to deserve this one-on-one attention at the front of the class. The conversation went like that --

She: Hi Rachel, I realised you're a girl with so must dignity, poise... (and blah blah blah) I thought you really looked MATURED. I would have thought you were from year 2 or 3. WHY IS THIS SO?

Me: (is there a reason to look matured??? -- eye rolling) oh, it just runs in the family.

Seriously. . . Mdm NUS tutor asking such questions.
