I did not go out today, but it was my most well spent time at home that it can ever get.

I spent my afternoon seeking God about the unresolved issues in my life. I needed a closure to it.

It began with my spirit reminding me that only God is able to see fully and solve whatever that was inside me. I started praying. I told God that I needed to resolve everything and I did not want to carry forward my burdens to the next year. God spoke at this time. He promised that He will answer whoever who called upon Him. He told me the first step I needed to do was to take out a piece of paper and list everything that mattered to me. I did that obediently. Then I was taught to pray over each item at a time, then refer to the bible for specific promises for each issue.

He patiently led me through my list one by one. Knowing I am someone who needs assurance constantly and rather forgetful, He told me to write down every promise from Him next to each issue. Now that I am done with it, I know my heart is lifted of my burdens and whenever I needed to remember His promises to me, I need to just refer to them.

Apart from settling all my issues, He has even revealed to me a verse to see me through 2006. I shall cling onto that.

This is an intimate relationship is shared only between us. I know that with His help, I have just broken the chains of bondage.

Hey, I stumbled onto this font by chance and realised it was so much better for the ageing eyes like mine!!

Went to catch The Chronicles Of Narnia last night at Junction 8 with my church friends. It was a very good show with lots of Christian themes being centered, the part about the lion, the children etc. (I shall not elaborate further to spoil the fun here.)

After it ended, we managed to catch the last bus for supper. Supper is really not good because it adds on a considerable amount of weight by converting it to stubborn fats, especially when it is prata!!

I am kinda glad the Christmas 'events' are over. I really did enjoy this year's Christmas, only thing was that all the 'events' have worn me out throughly at the same time.

Caroling was excellent. The feedback was that it was one of our best years. I believed so, especially when we had a larger number of people taking part in this year's caroling then compared to the last. By the time I reached home after the caroling ended, it was already 1 plus in the morning, considering it was one of my church members who sent me home from Kembangan. I cannot imagine coming home myself at the hour.

Saturday I had band practice at church in the evening because I was singing today. My family had a get together dinner after my practice. Since this was my grandma's first Christmas as a Christian, I bought her a gift and passed it to her on Christmas eve. I believed she was excited to experience this festive season for the right reason.

Today was a busy busy day. Reached church by 9am to do rehearsals with the children because they had a performance during service. As soon as it was done, I had to practice the songs with my worship team to prepare for service. Service started and after worship segment, moved on to help the kids with their performance. After the entire thing, was busy giving out presents. Left church at about 3 plus. I was and still am worn out.

Kids put on an excellent performance today. It made all the hard work on the part of the teachers over this few months worth it. I truly am proud of them. Seeing and thinking of them makes me smile.

It was also a major reunion in church today. We had many members who were overseas either for good or had relocated for a year back to join us during this time.

I am tired. I need sleep. My eye bags have appeared from the lack of it over the past week or so. Even so, I have accomplished much.

Results for my first sem exams were just out. Tonight I am doing caroling, so I was just mentioning to my friend, that if the results are bad, instead of singing, i'll croak. Thankfully, I need not croak tonight. Though I did not get excellent results, but I am satisfied with it being average, considering I was floating with the tide for the first sem. It was already a miracle that God gave me those grades with my little effort. I started studying only 2 weeks before the exams, after Bao Yue gave me a lecturing wake up call. I will turn over a new leaf from next sem!

This is once again the time of the year where people rush to do their last minute Christmas shopping. People tend to get on each other's nerves pretty often, arguing over the 'best' gift to get, when the service given is not up to expectations etc, etc. Even I myself am guilty of this. While all the shopping and wrapping is good, we need to remember to use this festive season to spend quality time with our loved ones. More importantly, let us not forget that Jesus is the reason for this season.

Met up with my ex-colleague yesterday for a meal at Carl's Jr. It was my second time there. The first was with the old faithful gang. The meals there are SCARY. For both times, one meal was sufficient for the whole day. A lunch meal was equilivant to covering late breakfast and early dinner.

Before I left the house yesterday, I had the hunch that i'll meet this friend in the afternoon. Amazing how it came true. Met him at Carl's Jr. (Women's intuition has to be trusted)

My room's in a MESS. The entire floor is covered with wrapping paper and presents waiting to be dressed. I don't know where to start... The mess is putting me off.

Got this from Lynn's blog. I am impressed with its accuracy...

Based on your drawing and the 10 answers you gave this is a summary of your personality:

You are sensitive and indecisive at times. You are good at making friends and when the joyful moment arrives, you make the most out of it. You will avoid being alone and seek the company of others whenever possible. You love excitement and create it wherever you go. You are very tidy person. There's nothing wrong with that because you're pretty popular among friends. Your life is always full of changes. You will avoid being alone and seek the company of others whenever possible. You love excitement and create it wherever you go. You see the world as it is, not as you believe it should be. You added a flower into your drawing. The flower signifies that you long for love. It also safe to say that others don't see you as a flirt. You don't think much about yourself.

I spent my entire day yesterday in bed being an ultimate slug. It was a disgusting feeling being sick and bound in bed. Today's much better and managed to go out with my friends to do some last minute shopping for Christmas. Bao Yue told me Clarinase is good for flu, so I bought one box to try, since the Panadol Cold is not helpful at all, after taking it for almost two days. It has been working pretty well, for now.

My body finally cried out in defeat last night. I've been stretching its limit by sleeping at almost 2am every night since my holiday started. Had slight sore throat since Sat but I ignored it. It was only by yesterday evening that I experienced its full manifestation. The bad, bad throat, flu and headache was causing me to float around. I surrendered to it by being in bed by 9pm till this morning. Sleep is certaintly one of the best medicines but it does not provide the complete cure. I need my voice back and stop my nose from running.

I seriously need to pray for God's grace and save money for the worst case scenerio. I was travelling pretty fast along Clementi Road last night. Tried to act hero by beating the traffic light. It was only after that that I realised there was actually a camera there. I was too shocked to realise if I was actually caught. That's demerit points and fine for me if it comes true. Got lectures after lectures from my parents. I can only walk by faith now. I have learnt my lesson!

I am finally back from my 12 day long trip. It was a great trip, a very different experience from what I have always previously gone through. My first trip was to Hong Kong, then to Shen Zhen and finally Bangkok. More details coming up... Initially I wanted to publish my last blog entry before going onboard at the departure hall but we were too late and had to rush for the flight. This is my first holiday trip doing 12 solid days of shopping! Believe it or not, I returned with a 33.7kg luggage, excluding hand carry pieces (when the max allowed was only 20kg). Thankfully we were members of the airline, therefore, the overweight baggage charge was waived.

Hong Kong

When we arrived, we were 'greeted' with a cold front. There was a sudden change of wind direction. Because of that, the weather was at 11 degrees Celcius everyday. I needed 3 layers because it was rather windy on top of the cold weather.

I shopped most here. I love to come at the beginning of winter because they have major major sales for their branded goods. My 'staple' shops in HK were Benetton, Esprit, Tommy Hilfiger etc, simply because they had 50%-70% discounts for their summer/autumn wear. I bought so many where per piece costs averagely SGD20, which was very cheap for these brands.

Shen Zhen

Going there was a culture shock! Firstly, when we arrived there and hoped onto the cab, while the cab stopped at a traffic light, he opened his door and spit and closed the door after that. We stared horrified at the back seat.

Nevertheless, the hotel room was superb! It was a service apartment with hotel treatment. We had a living room, dining room, kitchen with even a washing machine. Then came the rooms -- we had 2 rooms. I took 1 with the queen sized bed with a study table in it and the rest took the other room with 2 single beds, an attached bathroom with another study room. In that case, I had a room and a toilet to myself. You can imagine how huge it was.

Walking along the streets was a nightmare. Firstly, people, the males and females alike were spitting on the floor wherever they went. Secondly, they were rude. They pushed and did not know the words 'excuse me' and 'sorry'. They do not even hold doors and will slam them right into your face. We were warned by the locals about receiving counterfeit notes and snatch theives. We were also told not to go out after dask since it was dangerous. I seriously did not feel safe there.

Shopping there was indeed an experience, especially with the imitation goods. The A grage goods were so well produced that one could never tell them apart from the real ones. We went into 2 shops. Since my dad goes there frequently, they know him. They sell these goods to only people whom they know. 1 shop was named 'the 1 stop shop' by us because they sold everything and all you had to do was to point from their catelogues and tell them what you want and they will bring it to you from their 'secret place'. The second shopkeeper brought us to their warehouse, where we had to climb flights of stairs, walk along long, dark corridors and knocking with their secret code before we could enter their store. Many things were a good buy.

On a lighter note, I believe my Chinese had improved a lot from the HK/Shen Zhen, where I was forced to speak Mandarin and read Chinese. I appreciate that actually.

Bangkok

Since I was last there in July, the things there were pretty much the same so I did not shop much. I did not dare to also because I had already shopped soooo much in HK. I must confess that I am an addict to massages. I went for massages almost every night when I was there. I did french manicure and pedicure for only SGD8!

My greatest accomplishment as a shopper was to visit the newest shopping mall known as Siam Paragon. It was only opened for the 4th day when we were there. There were many sales and I feel proud to be the pioneer there...

The above are just the main highlights of this trip. There are definitely much more, especially since I was away for 12 days! After being on the streets for 12 days, I am seriously not interested in hanging out anymore on the streets of Singapore for now.
